In most people’s daily routines they wash their face twice a day, usually morning and night. If you are a female it is good to use makeup remover before you wash your face. Sleeping with your makeup on clogs your pores which can lead to breakouts, wrinkles, and irritation to eyes. The best way to think of your skin is like a paintbrush, you put colors on it and then when you are done painting, you wash it off so it doesn’t harden, get sticky, and ruin the brush. The same applies to your skin, and you should always have a gentle face wash, exfoliator, and a moisturizer. I had been wondering about all the hype on the Clarisonic brush and if they clean more efficiently than regularly washing your face, so I looked into this product.
What Is It?
The Clarisonic is an electronic face cleaner with detachable bristle heads to clean deep down in the layers of your skin. I went to my dermatologist and asked about whether these products are really worth getting. Since they are expensive, it would be an investment, and I did not want to buy something that was going to be a waste of money. The dermatologist recommended them because they really do make a huge difference in cleaning out your pores. Below is a picture of what manual cleaning with your hands looks like and the results of using the Clarisonic brush. I was cautioned to only buy them from a dermatologists office, Ulta beauty, or Clarisonic’s website because some of them sold online are knock-off versions and can damage your skin.
There are the Clarisonic Mia 1, 2, and 3. The Clarisonic Mia 2 which is what I have retails for $149 and includes a cleanser, a travel case, a fine and coarse bristle head, a cap for the top, and a charger. The difference between them is that they have different speeds from gentle to more abrasive. It is very sleek-looking and easy to hold and use. There are a variety of fab colors to choose from that can be found at Ulta and Clarisonic.
How to Use
When using this product you simply charge it, wet the brush head, apply a small dab of the cleanser, and then turn it on. The brush will clean sections of your face, and it will beep when it is time to move to the next section. You start at the forehead, move to the nose and chin, and then to your left and right cheeks moving in gentle, circular motions. Then you wash off your face and brush with water. It is important to read the directions, but it is a pretty straightforward device to use.
Results
I can tell the difference when I wash my face with my hands and when I use my Clarisonic. When I use it my skin feels deeply cleaned and refreshed. It also has a glowing quality to it. I use it as my exfoliation and 2-3 times a week max. It is powerful and may be harsh on your face at first, but your skin has to get used to it. Overall, I absolutely recommend this product for your face regime and I promise your skin will feel healthy, clearer, and brighter. I adore mine and it is definitely worth purchasing for not only girls, but guys as well!
